Meriden Pride Community Center
It’s back-to-school season, Meriden!
If you need school supplies, stop by the Community Center on Saturdays from 12-3 p.m. or Sundays from 1-4 p.m. to pick up FREE supplies. We have notebooks, glue sticks, binders, pencils, backpacks, and more. Anyone is welcome to take supplies — students of all ages and levels, or even teachers (we see you!). Please, take what you need.

National HIV/AIDS and Aging Awareness Day

On September 18, 2008, National HIV/AIDS and Aging Awareness Day was launched by The AIDS Institute in an effort to raise awareness of the alarming increase in the number of HIV diagnoses among older adults and individuals over 50 living and aging with HIV. This day reminds us that HIV impacts people of all ages, including LGBTQ+ older adults who may face unique challenges.
With more people living long, healthy lives with HIV, it’s important to keep raising awareness, encourage regular testing, and support inclusive, age-friendly care. Learn more at HIV.gov or at NHAAD.org
